Association pour la Défense des Droits des Enfants et des Femmes en Guinée (ADDEF-G)

Established in 1997, ADDEF-G's mission is to defend, protect and promote the rights of women in Guinea. ADDEF-G accomplishes this by training paralegals, carrying out awareness-raising activities and conducting information campaigns. ADDEF-G also actively organizes to change laws that discriminate against women, while at the same time working to change attitudes and practices that discriminate against women and children.

It also enables the production and distribution of legal materials for women living in the Guéckédou and Kissidougou areas. The grant contributes to ADDEF-G’s institutional development by covering office expenses and stipends for four staff working on the paralegal project. |

| This two-year grant enables ADDEF-G to expand its program for establishing paralegal services for rural women in the Gueckedou and Kissidougou border region of Guinea. Paralegals play an important role in disseminating information to Guinean women about their rights. Specifically, the grant will be used to prepare documents for awareness-raising activities, to train and deploy 30 paralegals, and to follow up and evaluate these activities. |
